Voltalis is rolling out its energy flexibility technology in the UK — and you're the person who makes it happen on the ground.
Why This Role
You'll be among the first people shaping how Voltalis operates in the UK. The decisions you make in year one will define how the business scales. It's a rare opportunity to be both hands-on and strategic from day one, in a company that has already proven its model in France.
This is not a coordination role. You will own the full deployment cycle: from scoping contracts with properties owners and subcontractors, to running site visits, to writing functional specs for R&D teams adapting our hardware and software stack to the UK market.
Half of your job is Run — getting the first installations live, managing partner contracts, building schedules, keeping things moving on the ground. The other half is Build — because this is a new market, and our processes, tools, and products need to be adapted. You'll write functional specs, challenge existing solutions, and work hand-in-hand with our French R&D and innovation team.
You report directly to the UK Operations Director.
What You'll Actually Do
* Manage end-to-end deployment projects: site surveys, subcontractor selection, scheduling, go-live
* Frame and negotiate partner and subcontractor contracts
* Translate field realities into clear functional specs for tech teams (hardware + software)
* Build dashboards, track KPIs, manage project budgets
* Bridge the gap between English-speaking stakeholders and French-speaking engineers — fluently, in both directions
* Identify what doesn't work in our current processes and fix it
Who You Are
You've managed complex deployments in the field — you know what it means to have a site visit go wrong and still deliver on time. You're as comfortable writing a functional spec as you are negotiating with a building manager.
You don't need everything to be defined to get started. You're autonomous, rigorous, and you build structure where there isn't any yet.
* London-based
* 5+ years in project management — energy, proptech, telecoms, infrastructure
* Experience writing functional specs and working closely with tech/product teams
* Bilingual English/French is a strong plus
* Full UK driving licence required
