Dr Andriani Fili, Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Research Fellow, is looking for a Public Engagement Officer to contribute to the final phase of a Wellcome Trust funded project, ‘Medicalising Immigration Detention.’
The postholder will focus on translating research findings into accessible outputs for academic, policy, and public audiences. This includes co-producing written, visual, and audio‑visual materials, as well as leading the organisation of dissemination events.
Responsibilities
* Translate research findings into accessible outputs for academic, policy, and public audiences.
* Co‑produce written, visual, and audio‑visual materials.
* Lead the organisation of dissemination events.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in a social science or humanities subject.
* Knowledge of, or experience conducting research related to border enforcement, migration, detention, or adjacent areas of social justice/public policy.
* Demonstrable experience developing and delivering print and digital communications outputs for diverse audiences.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text for briefings, reports, webpages, blogs, and news items.
* Experience of using website content management systems and managing social media communications (desirable).
Contract Details
* Fixed term until 31 March 2027.
* Variable hours basis.
* Payment on submission of monthly timesheet.
