Cardinal Griffin Catholic College is seeking a reliable and flexible Kitchen Assistant to enhance our catering team, providing cover at times of absence. If you are passionate about supporting young people, we would love to hear from you! About the role: The role will be to provide sort term absence cover at times of absence and assist in the preparation and service of tasty and nutritious meals to pupils and staff under the direction of the Catering Manager. Duties will include basic food preparation, cleaning duties and preparing counters whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen. Level 2 Food Safety qualification would be an advantage, or be willing to complete the qualification via an e-learning course provided. While experience in a school environment or catering may be advantageous, it is by no means essential as training can be given. We are more interested in finding the right person for the role, than the experience they bring to it.
