Job Mission
To provide 'World Class' support to Manufacturing, ensuring high product quality, short lead-times, and rapid time-to-market through continuous improvement of products and processes. This role is based in the New Product Group (NPI) within Wilton, Connecticut.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop manufacturing readiness plans for new products, including timelines and milestones for proto readiness and ramp-up.
* Estimate budgets for facilities, capital equipment, and staffing.
* Communicate plans to Business Line and Management.
* Lead cross-functional teams to implement industrialization plans.
* Evaluate subassemblies for Make/Buy decisions.
* Report on production status, issues, and barriers; escalate issues as needed.
* Manage delivery from preparation to internal customer delivery.
* Coordinate and prioritize support from other departments.
Education
BS/MS in Mechanical or Optical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience
* At least 5 years in manufacturing high-tech, complex products.
* At least 2 years in project leadership.
Personal Skills
* Broad technical and business knowledge.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Highly motivated, proactive.
* Effective in dynamic environments.
* Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
* Strong interpersonal skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Employees must meet physical requirements, including sitting, walking, communication, handling objects, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Travel may be required. Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The environment is moderate in temperature and noise.
