We are looking for a highly organised Senior Business Support Assistant to join our public sector Safeguarding Team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This role is essential in supporting Child Protection processes through accurate and timely documentation.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working, with approximately one day per week in the office at County Hall. Additional attendance may be required initially for training.
Pay rate - £13.91ph
Key Responsibilities
* Attend Child Protection Conferences via Microsoft Teams and produce:
* Child Protection Plans
* Child Protection Records (minutes)
* Complete review conference documentation from recordings
* Meet strict statutory deadlines (plans within 2 days; records within 15 days)
* Update trackers using Excel and maintain records on internal systems (e.g. Mosaic)
* Manage a high-volume workload effectively
* Provide support and occasional supervision to staff where required

Person Specification
Essential:
* Experience producing complex minutes
* Fast, accurate typing skills
* Strong organisation and time management
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Desirable:
* Safeguarding or social care experience
* Knowledge of systems such as Mosaic
* Previous supervisory experience
