We are looking for an assistant manager with front of house and hospitality experience to join our café team at a family-owned garden centre.
Brief description of duties
* Ensures the smooth running of the cafe in the managers absence, where all aspects of the food & beverage service and guest experience are delivered to the highest levels which is set out by the manager.
* Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries
* Leads and manages the FOH team, along with the manager, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department.
* Responsible for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled and that productivity and performance levels are attained in the managers absence
* Builds and maintains effective working relationships .
* Ensures adherence and compliance to all health and safety legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented.
Person specification
* Exceptional customer service skills
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality or front of house environment
* Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
* Works well as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
