Commercial Data Scientist – Finance Business Partnering

We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Data Scientist to join a global media business with a household name – the kind of brand you’ve definitely come across, whether in print, digital, or culture at large. This isn’t a back-office number-crunching role. You’ll be at the heart of commercial decision-making, turning data into insights that shape strategy, drive growth, and uncover new opportunities across multiple markets.
What you’ll be doing:
* Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to guide business leaders.
* Designing BI dashboards and automated reports that cut through the noise.
* Partnering with stakeholders across global offices to spot trends, opportunities, and risks.
* Using SQL, Python, and BI tools (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI) to turn raw data into actionable insights.
* Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
* Helping shape a data-led culture across the business.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – you can translate complex data into clear, actionable stories.
* Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI).
* Commercial acumen and the ability to influence decisions with data.
* International experience, ideally within Digital, Tech, Retail, or FMCG.
* A proactive self-starter who enjoys taking ownership.
Nice to have:
* Experience with digital or social media data.
* APIs, Salesforce (Sales/Marketing Cloud), Google Analytics.
* Experience with BI tool migration or implementation.
