The Role
The Accounts Payable Clerk position is a high-volume role requiring exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, reconciling supplier statements, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with firm policies and supporting the smooth operation of financial processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
* Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role (law firm experience preferred but not essential).
* Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Chrome River; familiarity with 3E is a plus.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Core Competencies
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Technology Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Comfortable working with invoice approval systems and banking platforms (HSBC, NatWest, RBS Bankline).
