Role Overview: We’re seeking a motivating Store Manager to join our trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to maximize sales and fundraising targets. Your store will be a community hub where people meet our team, learn about our work, and see the impact we make.
Key Responsibilities:
* Guide, inspire, and develop a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment and retention.
* Manage the commercial operations of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, standards, layout, sales, and income.
* Lead by example, providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Maximize profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
* Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
* Organize and run creative fundraising events to meet targets.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
* Perform manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
* Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve them.
* Ability to multitask in a lively environment.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Commercial awareness and knowledge of high street fashion retail.
* Adaptability and ability to work independently.
* Understanding of pricing, value, and item worth.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis to meet store needs.
