South West London (SWL) is embarking on an exciting Imaging Digital Transformation Programme to modernise and enhance imaging services across our Acute Trusts. This programme will play a pivotal role in delivering unified digital imaging solutions that support clinical productivity and excellence, operational efficiency and improved patient care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as the Imaging Digital Delivery Managers within the SWL Diagnostics Programme, part of SWL Acute Provider Collaborative (APC). The SWL APC comprises four acute hospital Trusts: Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated, competent, experienced individual to join our team and contribute to this ambitious programme with the appropriate knowledge and experience of digital solutions within Imaging (Radiology). These roles are key to ensuring the successful digital delivery, transformation and innovation across the SWL Imaging Network.
As the Imaging Digital Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the programme objectives and key deliverables as detailed below:
* Coordinate the delivery of the SWL Imaging Network Digital Programme, managing projects day‑to‑day within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
* Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including risk, issue, and benefits realisation, providing regular updates to senior management and boards.
* Act as the key liaison between SWL Trusts, programme teams, and suppliers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders.

Job responsibilities
Essential Criteria we are looking for in the ideal candidates are summarised below:
* Strong understanding of NHS digital systems, with specific knowledge and or experience in radiology and imaging services and solutions, including RIS and PACS.
* Excellent programme and project management skills, including expertise in planning, governance, writing business case / reports, producing highlight and board‑level reports, supporting programme delivery and governance. Strong communicative, administrative and organisational skill.
You should be educated to Masters level or equivalent experience with extensive expertise in programme delivery, transformation, and operational implementation.
Additional Notes: This is a 12‑month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended further. Candidates currently working within the NHS will be offered an opportunity on a secondment basis only.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualification/ Training
* Educated to degree level or has equitable work‑based experience.
* To have one or more of the below project management qualifications or equivalent level of experience: e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM Registered Project Professional.
* Member of relevant professional body.
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience of managing projects and delivering them within agreed timescales and budgets.
* Experience in managing stakeholders, providing support and input into complex programmes.
* Experience in an imaging service environment, with a technical, operational, or digital background, and collaborating with imaging operational, clinical and digital leads.
Skills and Abilities
* Able to take decisions on difficult and contentious issues where there may be several courses of action.
* Ability to effectively plan and think strategically and analyse and resolve problems in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Familiarity with service design, methodologies, and agile ways of working.
Personal Attributes/ Qualities
* Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to engage successfully with a wide range of people at all levels within the organisation.
* Proven self‑confidence and ability to confidently state own position on issues; self‑motivated; flexibility – adapts to ensure achievement of objectives within constantly changing situations and environments.
* Ability to build relations with internal and external partners which are critical in securing the strategic objectives of the business.
