The OpportunityA growing renewable energy and electrical engineering business is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support a pipeline of commercial and utility-scale solar projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for someone with strong LV electrical design experience, particularly within the solar PV sector, who is comfortable producing electrical layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), and design documentation. Candidates with a practical electrical background (e.g., qualified electricians who have moved into design) are highly desirable.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduce LV electrical designs for commercial and utility-scale solar PV installations.
Create and amend single line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and associated documentation.
Support designs involving batteries, EV infrastructure, and other renewable technologies.
Ensure designs comply with BS 7671 / IET Wiring Regulations.
Collaborate with project and engineering teams via Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms.
Experience as an Electrical Designer, Electrical Design Engineer, or similar.
