Health Care Assistant - Oldham Community

We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant to join our Adult Community Nursing Service in Oldham. The role will be to support the delivery of essential District Nursing services in Oldham, supporting the registered nurses to deliver high quality care to patients in their own home and in other community settings.
Main duties of the job
* To provide care to patients, their families, and carers, carrying out delegated clinical and therapeutic tasks, promoting the physical, mental and emotional health of individuals and client groups in their own home or in a designated treatment room setting.
* To work as an effective member of the Adult Community Nursing Team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship – or equivalent experience
* Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D–G)
* Care Certificate
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
* Experience of working within a team
* Demonstrates an interest or previous experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
* Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
Skills & Abilities
* Good communication (written and verbal skills)
* Basic IT skills
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to use own car for work purposes
