Data Engineer

Location: Bradford or Peterborough, Hybrid with at least one day in the office and occasional travel to other offices for meetings and training.

Salary: £52,882 per annum

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

About the role

We’re looking for a talented Data Engineer to join us at an exciting time as we build out a greenfield data platform focused on understanding the end‑to‑end customer journey and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

In this role, you’ll design, build, and optimise Azure‑based data pipelines, ingesting, transforming, and enriching data from a wide range of sources. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll translate requirements into scalable data solutions spanning batch and real‑time workloads. You’ll play a key role in enabling self‑service analytics, ensuring data solutions align with architectural standards, governance principles, and Agile ways of working.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £52,882 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

About you

The essentials:

* Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in a cloud platform for all data types
* Understanding of data modelling
* Understanding of cloud technology
* Ability to work with the wider business to understand data needs
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sense of complex data landscapes

The desirables:

* Experience with MS Azure
* Experience with streaming analytics
* Experience with Agile frameworks/methodologies
