We have an exciting opportunity for a Prison Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located in Bicester, Oxford.

HMP Bullingdon is a male remand prison with a capacity of 1,152 inmates, offering 24-hour healthcare, including an on-site inpatient unit.
Hours
37.5 hours per week. Day shifts vary from 7:30-7:30, 10-10pm, 7:30-5:30pm. The role includes working every other weekend, bank holidays, and night shifts. You may work in all areas of the prison, primarily reception areas.
Salary
This full-time position offers an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver nurse-led services and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, respond to emergencies, assess patients, and conduct reception screening
* Deliver nurse-led clinics supported by a multidisciplinary team
* Provide personalized, evidence-based care, listening to and acting on patient feedback
* Deliver non-judgmental care that truly makes a difference
* Build strong links with partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement
* Share knowledge and skills to ensure safe, effective care within a strong team

Qualifications required:
* Registered nurse (Adult)
* Current NMC registration
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* Non-judgmental, compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
