Description The Role The Specialist Consumer Products team are a market leading provider of creditor, affinity group A&H and mortgage insurance. The role involves assisting with the underwriting and managing a growing portfolio of international business, in line with the business plan and personal authority limits. Responsibilities will include: You will assess and underwrite renewal business targeting business plan loss ratios. Assist underwriters in assessing and underwriting new business opportunities. Underwriting individual referrals. Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures. Developing a clear understanding of Consumer Duty, Fair Value measures and other FCA conduct guidance. You will prepare binders and slips for renewals, ensuring all internal processes are followed. You will participate in the product review process and review those products particularly allocated to you. Actively participating in monthly SCP team reporting and SCP Claims meetings. Compiling monthly underwriting reports. You will develop effective working relationships with other teams including Conduct, Delegated Underwriting Management and Compliance. In conjunction with the Head of Technical Underwriting, review and finalise contract wordings and customer documentation to maintain compliance with regulation and in light of Consumer Duty.
