GTS Transport Services have over 30 years experience in the transport industry offering a first class service to a wide range of industries. We specialise in the transport of full and part loads Ireland-GB using our extensive fleet of modern tractor units and 150+ curtainsider and box van trailers.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. Ensuring our fleet of Scania, MAN and Volvo tractor units are maintained and repaired to the highest standards
Hours Monday – Friday 8:30 - 17:30

Responsibilities:
* Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance in line with manufacturer requirements
* Efficiently diagnose vehicle faults and rectify defects
* Emphasis on preventative maintenance, attention to detail and being proactive to enable the smooth running of the fleet
* Complete accurate records of vehicle condition and work completed
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to streamline workflow
* Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in HGV mechanics to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements:
* Time served on HGV maintenance and repair or Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Repair
* Experience working on HGV tractor units
* Understanding of the various systems on a HGV i.e Adblue, ABS etc
* Ability to use diagnostic systems and fault-finding techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team when required
* Safety conscious of yourself and the people working around you
* Reliable and self-motivated
