Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey. About The Opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients like National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Manchester Airport Group, Heathrow Ltd, HS2 Ltd and the Welsh Government. From global mega-projects like King Salman International Airport to local initiatives with councils and transport authorities, we offer opportunities to make a real impact—both worldwide and in your own community.
The successful candidate will join Jacobs’ Rail Civils team and will support the delivery of some of Jacobs’ most exciting and challenging global pursuits in the transportation sector, particularly within the guided transport systems built environment.
They will be provided with on-the-job training under a structured mentorship framework that will support their professional development towards attaining professional engineering body qualification. The training framework will offer the opportunity for discrete periods of discipline/ team rotation to enhance the trainee’s understanding of multi-disciplinary principles and facilitate development of a broader technical knowledge base, problem solving abilities, commercial acumen, and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be exposed to various stages of scheme development ranging from initial concept through to construction stage. They will support in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects by contributing to the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, structural designs and assessments and other technical deliverables.
