Role: CNC Setter / Programmer Location: Fareham Duration: 6 months Rate: £28.59/hr PAYE Position Summary: A skilled CNC machinist/programmer with specialist skills in Multi-axis (5 axis minimum) CNC turning and in particular CNC Sliding Head multi-axis machining. Experienced in the machining of small, high precision turned components. Good base knowledge of manual machining would also be preferred. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities List Skilled CNC machinist capable of programming, setting and operating of multi-axis CNC lathes, in particular multi-axis Sliding Head machines Good written communication and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills Strong prioritization skills Good team player and also self-motivated to work as an individual Ability to complete work accurately and thoroughly, meeting required timescales Ability to operate manual machine tools Ability to read engineering drawings Decision making skills Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained Understanding of lean principles, in particular 5S/6S activities Safety orientated with a good awareness of Health and Safety in a machine shop and treatments environment Ability to learn and take on new skills Minimum Qualifications Apprentice trained in machining.
