Role Overview:
Are you a commercially driven asbestos professional ready to take your experience into a strategic Business Development role? Tersus, part of the Marlowe Environmental Services Group, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across our environmental risk and compliance services portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Selling Tersus services—primarily asbestos, fire risk, and CDM consultancy.
2. Expanding opportunities within Marlowe Environmental Services, including water hygiene and indoor air quality.
3. Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
4. Revitalizing dormant accounts (over 2 years).
5. Traveling UK-wide to meet clients, attend industry events, and participate in team meetings in South Wales and Huddersfield.
6. Managing your sales pipeline using CRM systems and contributing to sales strategies.
7. Representing Tersus at industry events to strengthen market presence.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the asbestos sector—preferably as a Surveyor, Analyst, Project Manager, Operations Manager, or Account Manager.
2. Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in asbestos and related services.
3. Desirable: experience across multiple risk areas such as fire and water.
4. Familiarity with sales strategies and CRM tools.
5. Experience with Mark One TEAMS Asbestos Software is a plus.
6. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with teams.
7. Existing client relationships are highly advantageous.
Location & Travel:
* Home-based role with national travel.
* Ideally located in the East or South of the UK.
* Proximity to a Tersus office is a bonus.
