Shopify in EMEA is helping power commerce for companies like Gymshark, Unilever, Allbirds, Heinz, and many more. To support our growth, we’re searching for an exceptional Sales Leader to manage the Northern Europe sales team.
Shopify has established a strong footprint in the UKI/Benelux/Nordics market and is planning to further move upmarket.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an entire region and build the strategy to grow this market. You will be responsible for hiring and leading the sales team, collaborating closely with teams like Marketing, Partnerships, Solution Engineering, and more to align efforts.
You will need to work cross-functionally to plan and execute go-to-market strategies, develop sales messaging and positioning, and run a sizable team of sales managers and representatives while evolving processes, methodologies, and building a scalable sales operation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement go-to-market and acquisition plans for the region.
2. Hire, coach, and develop a team of salespeople with a strong solution-selling mindset.
3. Lead sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
4. Drive customer acquisition and revenue generation in the region.
5. Engage and educate the market on Shopify’s product offerings.
6. Collaborate with other functions to build out the regional strategy (Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, etc.).
7. Build and maintain executive relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and focusing on customer-centric solutions.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Passion for sales and building exceptional teams.
* A love for data and how it can help sales teams succeed.
* Experience leading sizable direct sales teams, preferably in e-commerce, SaaS, or technology sales.
* Experience hiring and managing leaders.
* Desire to have an impact and get involved directly.
* Deep understanding of sales cycles, metrics, and closing complex enterprise sales.
* Experience with complex solution selling and methodologies like Challenger Sales.
* Proven ability to mentor and coach sales teams and to build and scale large teams.
* Based in the UK with strong market knowledge.
