We are recruiting for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team in Bristol.
In this role you will have the opportunity to add real value to the firm. By helping to implement a controls frameworks and standardised processes, you will play a key part in delivering accurate financial data to aid the firm’s profitability strategy and drive change.
You will work within the commercial reporting team to deliver and maintain current month end accounting and ad-hoc reporting.
Your Role
As a Senior Accounting Analyst your remit includes:
* Preparing month end reporting including management accounts.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, review other team members reconciliations
* Month end journals – e.g. Deferred income, WIP, various subjective areas.
* Production of statutory reporting.
* Support all financial audits.
* Assist with ad-hoc finance data requests, and troubleshoot all accounting issues.
* VAT returns and ONS submissions.
* Help to continuously improve finance processes to aid accurate, timely data being available.
Your Skills and Experience
* Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), or equivalent
* Have 2+ years’ experience in an accounting role.
* Be able to think laterally to solve problems within an evolving finance team
* Strong communication skills.
* Possess a natural affinity for technology, process thinking, and process improvement
* Strong excel skills

To do this effectively, these teams take responsibility for billing, payments, credit control, purchasing, client accounting, commercial business partnering, reporting, sourcing, buying and more.
