Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

FTE salary: £23,555 FTE

Actual annual salary (approx. gross): £17,301

School Base: Werrington Primary School

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Start Date: ASAP

Hours (weekly): 32.5 hours per week

Working weeks: 38 weeks

Interview Date: w/c 20th October 2025

Closing Date: Midnight on Thursday 09th October 2025

Information about the vacancy

An Daras Trust are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to offer 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs. Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification desirable but not essential.

Werrington Primary School strives to achieve the very best for all its pupils. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our motivated and committed team.

The successful candidate will:

· Have experience of working with primary aged children.

· Have experience of working with children with additional needs.

· Be resilient, have a calm, patient approach and positive attitude.

· Be able to develop the children's knowledge through support and encouragement in the learning activities undertaken within the school and evaluate their effectiveness.

· Be a team player and communicate effectively

· with staff and parents.

· Be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children.

· Be able to use judgement and initiative in determining appropriate interventions.
