Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Nottinghamshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as SEMH needs, and other learning needs. We work to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK, supporting children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to engage learners and improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Needs referred by Targeted Provision
* Assist local authorities and schools with educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payroll
* No set number of hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work you do for us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
