F-35 Metal Repair OperatorLocation: RAF Marham, PE33 9NPContract Type: ContractDuration: 20 monthsHours: Monday–Thursday, 37 hours per weekRate: £28.11 UMBRELLA / £21.00 PAYE per hourOverviewMorson Edge are recruiting for a Metal Repair Operator to support critical aircraft maintenance operations on the F-35 fast jet within a highly regulated aviation environment.Working as part of a close-knit, multi-skilled team, you will carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities, supporting the safe and efficient maintenance of aircraft structures. This role is ideally suited to individuals with hands-on experience in structural repair and a strong understanding of approved maintenance practices.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities on aircraft structuresPerform repairs in accordance with approved technical documentation and maintenance instructionsPrepare metal and composite surfaces for repair activitiesUndertake drilling, honing, and reaming of aircraft structuresRemove and install aircraft fasteners and componentsApply adhesive bonding techniques where requiredWork in accordance with approved maintenance data and organisational proceduresMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and complianceSupport team activities within a multi-disciplined maintenance environmentEssential Skills & ExperienceExperience using manual and pneumatic toolingExperience preparing metal and/or composite aircraft structures for repairExperience with drilling, honing, and reaming processesExperience removing and installing various types of fastenersExperience with adhesive bonding applicationsAbility to work to maintenance instructions and approved data setsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipQualificationsCompletion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (Aeronautical Engineering advantageous)Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent recognised qualification)Acceptable awarding bodies include City & Guilds, IMI, Edexcel, EAL, SEMTA, ATA (or equivalent)Candidates with equivalent experience (e.g. military service) must be able to provide supporting evidenceWorking EnvironmentBased at RAF MarhamMonday–Thursday working pattern (37 hours per week)Working within a multi-skilled aircraft maintenance teamRole may involve working in a regulated and safety-critical environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team supporting advanced aircraft maintenance operations, contributing to the continued airworthiness and performance of modern military aircraft.TPBN1_UKTJ
