We are working with a UK-based EdTech company on a mission to make high-quality education accessible to everyone — and are looking for a React Native Technical Lead to help drive their mobile app experience to the next level.
💼 The Role
As a React Native Technical Lead, you’ll take ownership of their mobile app development — from architecture and performance to delivery and deployment. This is a fully hands-on position where you’ll still be coding daily while leading by example, mentoring engineers, and setting the technical direction for the team.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build seamless, engaging, and scalable mobile experiences used by thousands of learners across the UK.
🔧 What You’ll Do
* Lead the end-to-end development of our React Native mobile apps
* Define and drive mobile architecture, best practices, and coding standards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality features
* Mentor and support developers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
* Work closely with stakeholders to plan, estimate, and deliver projects on time
* Stay ahead of emerging trends in mobile and EdTech technology
💡 What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience building and delivering production-grade React Native applications
* Strong understanding of TypeScript, React, and mobile performance optimisation
* Experience integrating APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and app store deployments
* Ability to make architectural decisions and lead technical discussions
* Passion for education, user experience, and clean, maintainable code
* Previous experience in a lead or senior developer role within a product-focused environment
