Overview
Our Technical Manager will provide technical leadership, and support operational teams. You will manage complex, multi-disciplinary installation projects, liaise with clients, and work closely with subcontractors to ensure delivery is safe, efficient and of the highest quality.
This is a varied role combining project management, operations support and continuous improvement. You will act as a key link between clients, subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring successful outcomes from enquiry through to aftercare.

Key Responsibilities – Technical Manager
Projects
Manage sales and installation projects from enquiry through to final documentation
Supervise subcontractors (gas, electrical, mechanical, design) including on-site oversight during installation
Lead design coordination between consultants and clients
Manage Health & Safety across all projects
Support internal R&D and improvement projects and provide technical input
Sales Support
Prepare technical sales quotations for projects
Attend client meetings (online and on-site) to provide technical input
Conduct site surveys to scope projects and identify new opportunities
Work with clients to ensure we deliver optimal services
Support the introduction of new services and technologies
Operations
Partner with the operations team to ensure best practice in planning and execution
Provide technical support, including maintenance and troubleshooting
Help establish and improve processes to optimise equipment performance
Contribute to Health & Safety in operational planning and site activities
Qualifications & Experience
Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred; Process or Civil considered), or equivalent
Proven experience managing installation projects, including subcontractor management across multiple disciplines (e.g. design, mechanical steelwork, gas, electrical, pressure systems)
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of power stations, industrial boilers or related technologies (transferable knowledge from similar industries welcome)
H&S knowledge, including risk assessments/SSOWs and ideally ISO 45001 and working within ISO 9001 quality management systems
