Intro

Eric Wright Construction work in a variety of sectors including hi-rise residential city apartments, Educational, Sports and leisure, City Regeneration and Health, schemes that range from £5m to £65m+.

What You’ll Do

As a Construction Administrator you will provide accurate and effective support and administration services to various departments within the Construction Business liasing within the administration team the wider construction team and Eric Wright Group businesses and central services

The role includes but is not limited to:

1. Monitoring for future opportunities on various tender trackers
2. Issuing tender enquiries using the conquest software, importing bill of quantities, updating the subcontractor contacts database, processing addendum information and clarifications/queries to subcontractors and the estimating team
3. Maintaining/disposing of archived information, file rotation
4. Arranging tender meetings at various stages of bidding
5. Processing returned quotations received via email
6. Assisting the preconstruction team and Bid Writers
7. Booking in new tenders received via portals/download links
8. Preparation, processing and monitoring of subcontract agreements and letters of intent, letters of Authority both hardcopy and via DocuSign e-signature software
9. Maintaining and accurately updating monitoring charts
10. Liaising with the Commercial Team and Legal department when required
11. Reporting monthly CSR data to the quality department
12. Notifying Insurance Broker of new contracts awarded
13. Covering other administration teams within construction as and when required by:-
14. Data inputting associated with firestopping and other related reports to Fieldview and Excel (e.g. fire stopping reports and other compliance documentation).
15. Monitoring and managing the aftercare inbox when the Aftercare Co-ordinator is out of the office or on annual leave.
16. Carrying out defect allocation when the Aftercare Co-ordinator is out of the office or on annual leave.
17. Assisting with defect allocation during periods of high volume to ensure timely distribution and response
18. Receive and log defect reports, issue defects to subcontractors, issue updates to client
19. Data inputting associated with firestopping and other related reports to Fieldview and Excel (e.g. fire stopping reports and other compliance documentation).
20. Monitoring and managing the aftercare inbox when the Aftercare Co-ordinator is out of the office or on annual leave.
21. Hardcopy filing and electronic filing using Box (Wrightbox) document management storage
22. Photocopying/scanning
23. Printing drawings
24. Answering and making phone calls
25. Formatting documentation including letters and memos
26. Arranging meetings internally and with external clients/subcontractors
27. Any other ad-hoc tasks as and when required

What You’ll Bring

28. Hold relevant qualification, e.g., GCSE English and Maths, NVQ 3 Business Studies.
29. Good IT skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Conquest, and Box would be advantageous however training will be provided.
30. Good time management.
31. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
32. Accurate, exceptional attention to detail
33. Previous experience of working within the construction industry would be beneficial
