To support the Home Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the residential care home, ensuring a safe, caring, and supportive environment for residents. The Deputy Manager will lead by example, promote a person-centred approach to care, support staff development, and help maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
* Assist the Home Manager in managing the home in line with CQC standards and company policies.
* Provide leadership and guidance to care staff, ensuring a positive and professional working culture.
* Supervise and support care staff, including training, mentoring, and performance appraisals
Care & Support
* Ensure residents receive individualised, person-centred care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Carry out assessments, care planning, and regular reviews in collaboration with residents, families, and other professionals.
* Monitor and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
* Assist with internal audits, inspections, and action planning.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures.
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation, policies, and best practices.
* Respond to incidents, complaints, and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Essential Requirements:
* Completed NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards Level 5).
* Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential care setting.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 38 per week
