The primary objective of the Sustainability Scheme Manager is to support the Carbon & Sustainability Services Director in establishing and maintaining a successful team, overseeing team activities, ensuring compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements, and helping grow our sustainability services. The role involves raising the profile within our client base and the wider sustainability sector. The role's scope is expected to evolve with NQA’s strategy in sustainability.
This role will involve working across NQA’s Carbon and Sustainability portfolio, including Chain of Custody, Supply Chain Services, and PEFC, to ensure a strong service offering and position NQA as a leader in this field globally.
The sustainability market is rapidly growing and changing. The role requires proactive engagement with the sector and internal teams to manage effectively and enhance visibility.
The role has direct line responsibility for four management posts.
Location
Flexible location. Options include remote, on-site, or hybrid working. Travel to offices, client sites, and other locations will be required.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in environmental, sustainability, business management, or related fields.
* At least 2 years’ certification or industry experience.
* Interest in sustainability and carbon verification schemes.
* Completion of a relevant Lead Auditor/Verifier course (e.g., EMS, EnMS, GHG, CoC/Supply Chain), which can be provided by NQA Training.
