Overview
Hours will be used to provide companionship and respite at the minute but in time, she would like to use the hours to go out and maybe try some new activities. She is shy and quiet and would like to get to know the PA first and build up trust.
PA to ensure she is in a safe position during a seizure. PA can support with some light domestic tasks if required.

* Provide companionship and respite with a view to gradually enabling outings and new activities as trust is built.
* Be with her and help her get to know the PA, building trust.
* Ensure safety and positioning during a seizure.
* Support with light domestic tasks if required.
Type of person required
Reliable, committed and punctual. No medical or specialist training is required; however, the PA should have some understanding and experience in working with people who have seizures. They should remain calm and confident when supporting her. The household includes a pet cat, who is shy and generally does not interact with visitors.
About the job
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant\'s own home.
