Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Light and HGV Technician, located in Swansea. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light and heavy goods vehicles in line with company and safety standards. Duties include performing routine maintenance, conducting assessments to identify and address vehicle issues, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves ensuring vehicles meet compliance standards and delivering high-quality service to meet customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for light and heavy goods vehicles
Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, including their inspection and servicing
Proficiency with tools, equipment, and software relevant to vehicle repair and maintenance
Ability to adhere to health, safety, and compliance standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driving license (additional HGV license is advantageous)
Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
Formal technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance/Repair) are preferred
