Management Accountant, 12 months FTC - Home based with regular travel to North and West Cumbria business units Your new company Our client is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation with business units throughout North and West Cumbria. We are recruiting a talented Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team in early January 2026 to support the organisation through a period of transformation. This role will be offered on a 12-month fixed term basis with potential permanent career opportunities. Your new role As Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial management and reporting across the organisation. Working closely with the Associate Director of Finance, you’ll provide high-quality financial insight, strengthen controls, and champion digital innovation. Key responsibilities include: Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end management accounts Leading balance sheet integrity and VAT compliance Developing dashboards and financial analytics using tools like Power BI Driving process improvements and automation within finance systems Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement initiatives Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders and practice teams This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver real impact.
