We're offering an opportunity to become our Team Leader for the Royal Signals Induction Centre, based at Blandford with travel as required. This is a leadership and delivery role ideal for someone with sector expertise who can support apprentices, drive quality, and coordinate a team to achieve high standards.
In this role, you'll deliver training and support to apprentices while also taking on team leadership duties. You'll coordinate workload, maintain compliance, liaise with senior stakeholders, and ensure that apprentices receive a high-quality, supportive experience throughout their programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering training, reviews, and Functional Skills to support apprenticeship progression and gateway
- Assessing apprentice work, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate learner records
- Mentoring and coaching apprentices, ensuring safeguarding and welfare needs are met
- Coordinating and overseeing team workload, schedules, and priorities
- Supporting performance management, professional development, and curriculum planning across the RS team
- Liaising with contract managers, senior stakeholders, and quality teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
- Participating in internal audits, quality planning, and curriculum development
This opportunity could be ideal if you:
- Are sector competent in network engineering, digital, or telecoms
- Have experience delivering and assessing apprenticeships in a WBL, FE, or ESFA environment
- Can teach and assess Functional Skills (up to Level 2) and vocational qualifications (up to Level 4 in relevant areas)
- Enjoy leading and supporting a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Are committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and quality improvement
- Hold Assessor Coach L4/CET L4/LST L5 (or equivalent), and Functional Skills Level 2 in maths, English (or equivalent)
