Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a primary care setting.
Provide face‑to‑face appointments, telephone consultations, triage calls and home visits.
Carry out on‑call duties as required.
Complete and review daily paperwork, including results, prescribing, clinical letters and private work.
Educate and supervise GP registrars and foundation doctors under GP trainers.
Update clinical databases, manage medical records, and support practice audits.
Prescribe medications in accordance with the practice formulary and best practice guidelines.
Participate in training plans for medical students and support junior doctors’ development.
Maintain up‑to‑date CPR and anaphylaxis certification.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, information governance, data protection and confidentiality policies.
Assist in establishing care plans for chronic conditions and in implementing practice improvement initiatives.
Contribute to team effectiveness, quality improvement and positive team dynamics.
Communicate effectively with team members and patients, respecting their needs and preferences.

Person Specification Qualifications – Essential
Fully qualified GP registered with the General Medical Council (article 10).
Completed Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and registered on the UK GP rota.
Current professional registration in the UK.
Qualifications – Desirable
Evidence of postgraduate medical education (e.g., MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG).

Strong commitment to personal and professional development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing workload.
Computer literate, proficient in the SystmOne clinical system.
Ability to prioritise and work independently within a team.

Experience developing and implementing new services.
Experience in audit, research and evidence‑based practice.
