Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Burnfoot, Ireland

We are expanding our team and are looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Head Office Plant in Burnfoot, Ireland. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the innovation and advancement of our switchgear product line
The Role
Design cutting-edge switchgear products that meet international standards (IEC 62271, IEEE C37.20.2)
Translate market and customer needs into product specifications and features
Create and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed documentation
Collaborate with Offering Management, Marketing, Sales, and other departments
Support the NPDI process and prototype development
Conduct DFMEA and manage engineering changes
Engage with suppliers and remain ahead of technological trends
You
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
2+ years of experience in mechanical design
Proficiency in 3D design tools (Creo, SolidWorks, or similar)
Strong skills in 2D drafting, GD&T, and PLM systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
A passion for innovation and commitment to quality
