External Account Manager – South Yorkshire £45,000–£50,000 £35k–£40k OTE (Year 1) Car Allowance Provided Overview As an External Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating commercial growth across key markets including retail, e-commerce, and high-street sectors. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, develop high-value relationships, and act as a trusted advisor to organisations shipping parcels at scale. Backed by a strong operational and leadership team, you’ll have the autonomy to shape your territory while progressing toward more senior roles within the business. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Ownership: Build, manage, and strategically expand your own sales pipeline with a focus on consistent monthly and quarterly performance. New Business Generation: Identify, target, and secure new customers in the retail and e-commerce sectors. CRM Management: Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and activity tracking within the CRM. Onboarding & Implementation: Lead smooth client onboarding processes, ensuring quick adoption and a seamless go-live experience. Client Enablement: Deliver training, tools, and guidance to help customers confidently self-serve. Account Performance: Monitor client activity, address issues early, and manage escalations professionally. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to uphold service standards and support long-term customer satisfaction. About You Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid IT competence, particularly across Microsoft Office tools. Driven, ambitious, and motivated by hitting and exceeding targets. Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Minimum of 1 year’s field sales experience. Logistics sector experience is highly advantageous.
