Key responsibilities:
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and construction contracts (JCT, NEC).
* Advise on procurement strategies, legal risks, and governance compliance.
* Support decision-making processes in line with Contract Procedure Rules.
* Work independently on a varied caseload, with guidance from senior lawyers.
Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor or equivalent with relevant contract law experience.
* Experience within local authority or public sector preferred.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple cases efficiently.
* Strong understanding of procurement legislation and legal principles.
