Job Description

3. Lead strategic and day-to-day operations across HR, governance, IT, finance, and internal systems.
4. Improve infrastructure and organisational resilience.
5. Manage external service providers (HR, IT, finance).
6. Oversee office and facilities management, including health & safety.
7. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and staff wellbeing.
8. Support governance: board meetings, compliance, policy reviews.
9. Administer finance processes: payroll, expenses, reporting, audit prep.
10. Ensure robust IT systems and data protection practices.
11. Contribute to strategic planning and risk management.
12. Potential future line management of an Operations Assistant.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Operations Manager should have:

13. 5+ years' experience in operational leadership or infrastructure roles.
14. Proven track record across HR, governance, IT, finance, and office management.
15. Strong understanding of GDPR and charity compliance.
16. Skilled in managing external providers and improving systems.
17. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
18. Comfortable in a small charity environment; flexible and hands-on.
19. Committed to anti-poverty work and inclusive practices.

20. Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 with guaranteed annual increases.
21. Location: London (hybrid working).
