Production Shift Manager (Nights) Job Title – Production Shift Manager Location – Oakham, Rutland Salary – £46,000 (Inclusive of shift allowance) Shift – Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am Hours – 40 hours per week Job Role of the Production Shift Manager A strong opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a well-established and growing manufacturing site. This is a key leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the production operation during the night shift. You will take full ownership of Health & Safety, Quality, Cost Control, and People Management, ensuring that the production plan is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a confident leader who can use their initiative, solve problems proactively, and drive performance while developing their team. Sector – Plastic Manufacturing Key Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager Take full responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental performance on shift Ensure safe systems of work, training documentation and PPE compliance are always followed Be visible and proactive on the shop floor, conducting safety checks and audits Ensure accidents, near misses, hazards and stop-work incidents are reported, investigated and closed out Promote and embed a strong safety culture through leadership and behaviour Drive shift performance across Quality, Cost and Delivery targets Lead, manage and develop production teams Ensure the production plan is delivered efficiently and safely Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Production Shift Manager Previous Production Manager / Shift Manager experience within a manufacturing environment Desirable Experience Background in plastic or automated manufacturing environments Experience working with robotics and automated production systems Continuous improvement mindset The Production Shift Manager will benefit from: Total package of £46,000 (inclusive of night allowance) 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Company pension scheme Company sick pay (increasing with service up to 24 weeks) Stable Monday–Friday night shift pattern Opportunity to grow and develop within a global manufacturing organisation If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills, then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
