We are a Pasture for Life Butchery, working exclusively with British producers who raise animals naturally and responsibly. We believe that ethical farming leads to better-tasting meat, and if you're passionate about sustainability and quality, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities:
* Breaking down pork, and lamb carcasses
* Crafting sausages from scratch
* Engaging with customers at the counter
* Offering detailed knowledge on preparation and recipe ideas
* Logging daily temperature checks
* Assist in regular stock takes
Hours of Work
* 4 weekdays and a Sunday
* Weekdays, 8am - 5.30pm
* Sunday, 9am - 4.30pm
* Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year ' s Day
Our ideal candidate
* A passion for butchery and a strong desire to deliver the best meat products to customers.
* Proven experience as a butcher, with in-depth knowledge of various cuts including full carcass breakdown.
* A deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Great customer service skills and a customer-first mindset.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of meat products efficiently.
* Familiarity with state-of-the-art butchery equipment and the willingness to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
