Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills in English, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
* Implement and follow individualised care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems as necessary.
* Drive to clients' homes when required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to all road safety regulations.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to drive is advantageous for roles requiring travel between client locations.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
