About the role
The Behaviour Support Assistant role involves supporting groups of children with additional needs such as ASD, PMLD, MLD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work within group and 1:1 settings with young people aged from 5 to 16 years, with varying levels of learning needs.
Your daily routine will involve adapting your approach to support pupils effectively, ensuring their time in school is beneficial and productive. Your main goal is to support these pupils and help prevent triggers or signs of distress.
Our main aim is to provide the best support to pupils. Success in this role requires a nurturing, patient, and empathetic attitude.

Requirements
To be considered for the Behaviour Support Assistant role, you should:
* Have recent experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play, or care setting within the last 2 years.
* Be able to provide valid references from these roles.
* Hold or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, registered with the Update Service.

Salary
£85 to £105 per day, dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
Minimum requirements include recent experience working with children or young people within the last 2 years, with references obtainable from these roles.
