Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Department position requiring a MA RN license and the ability to interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
Responsibilities
Position is within a Pediatric Emergency Department serving patients from newborn to 22 years old
The department has up to 16 treatment areas, including psychiatric, observation, and urgent care sections
Night shift with 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am
Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday
Candidates must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
Must pass a telemetry test on day one with a score of 85% or higher
Responsible for providing emergency care to pediatric patients across acute, psych, observation, and urgent care settings
Monthly parking fees may apply
Holiday shift coverage is required
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
One professional evaluation reference must be within the past 12 months, and another within the past 3 years
Requirements
Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years recent acute pediatric emergency nursing experience
Experience in a Level I Trauma hospital preferred
Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B (telemetry test) on first day
At least 18 months of specialty-specific experience
Two professional references required, including one from a manager
