About the School and Role
A special educational needs (SEN) school located in Bournemouth is currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment, supporting students with complex needs and disabilities across all age groups—from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post-16. The facility is tailored to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, providing the necessary support and resources for students to succeed.
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who will collaborate closely with teaching staff to support students with various needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional challenges. Your role will be crucial in promoting an inclusive educational setting and delivering personalized support to each child.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with primary school-aged children
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
A genuine passion for fostering student progress
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
While experience working specifically with children with learning difficulties and/or social communication challenges is preferred, it is not mandatory. We are also open to applicants with backgrounds in care, sports coaching, mental health support, or similar roles that develop transferable skills.
