Role Overview
We’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our Technical Services team based at the Greenwich Campus, University of Greenwich. In this role, you’ll be leading the on-site residential M&E team, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, and playing a hands‑on part in both planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll be a key point of contact for ensuring the smooth running of essential building services across the campus, working closely with our Engineering Lead, Facilities Manager, and wider Sodexo team.

Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of on‑site engineers, supporting performance, training, and development
* Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
* Coordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requests
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work procedures
* Carry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentation
* Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checks
What You Bring
* HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Extensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g., electrical, mechanical or similar
* Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines: LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similar
* Experience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environments
* Excellent communications both written and verbal
* Numerate and computer literate
* Previous experience of managing a team of engineers
Desirable
* Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
* Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
* Membership of Institute of Leadership and Management
* IOSH Managing Safety
* Emergency first aid qualification
