Overview
We are looking for a motivated, friendly individual to work as part of a team that provides a great experience to everyone that visits our leisure facilities. As a Physical Activity Instructor, based at Plascrug Leisure Centre, you'll deliver exercise classes to members of the public on a weekly basis. We are seeking an individual who thrives on getting the best out of others by helping them to learn new skills and meet their full potential. As a council we are embarking on an exciting journey which will see a number of our Leisure Centres become Wellbeing Centres and these roles provide an excellent opportunity to be part of that journey as we contribute to the promotion of positive health and wellbeing of our citizens. As a Physical Activity Instructor you will assist the manager in the provision of an efficient and effective service and on a day to day basis will:
Responsibilities
* be responsible for delivering some of our exercise classes
* assist with the marketing and promotion of the centre and the benefits of health and wellbeing
* handle customers and parents with questions and queries regarding our exercise programmes
Requirements and Additional Information
We are committed to providing a bilingual service to our customers so a degree of fluency in the Welsh language is desirable for this post. Due to our opening hours you will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of a shift pattern.
