Tutor – Fire & Security | Lancashire
Package:
• Basic salary up to £38,000
• £2,500 car allowance
• 27 days holiday rising to 32
• Birthday off plus bank holidays (up to 41 days total!)
• Half-day every Friday
• Fully funded qualifications – Teaching & Assessor Certificates, Level 3 & 5 Management, and 18th Edition

Role Overview:
Are you an experienced Fire or Security Engineer who still loves the industry — but ready for a fresh challenge and a better work-life balance?
This is an opportunity to transition from the tools into teaching, guiding learners through their qualifications and preparing them for successful careers in Fire & Security. You’ll be delivering classroom-based learning up to Level 3, mentoring apprentices, and staying at the forefront of evolving standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, classroom-based learning and assessments up to Level 3
• Guide and mentor apprentices entering the Fire & Security industry
• Keep teaching content current with the latest British Standards and industry regulations
• Complete learner assessments, portfolios, and progress tracking
• Work closely with the wider training team to continually improve course delivery
Requirements:
• Proven experience within the Fire and/or Security industry
• Strong understanding of BS standards and industry practices
• Confident communicator with a passion for sharing knowledge
• Teaching or assessing qualifications desirable (not essential – full training provided)
