About Hearts in Healing:
Hearts in Healing CIC is a community interest company supporting people who have experienced trauma, focusing on healing, wellbeing, and building resilience. We create safe spaces, organise events, and run projects to make a real difference in our local community.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Manager to work closely with our Founder to coordinate, support, and manage Hearts in Healing's volunteers. This is a hands-on role that is essential to the smooth running of our charity and events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recruit, induct, and support volunteers across various roles (social media, events, admin).
* Create and manage volunteer schedules and rotas.
* Act as first point of contact for volunteers, offering guidance and support.
* Organise and lead volunteer meetings and training.
* Maintain volunteer records.
* Help plan and deliver charity projects, campaigns, and events.
* Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality standards are followed.
* Promote a positive, supportive culture for volunteers.
Skills & Qualities:
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Friendly, approachable, and supportive attitude.
* Ability to manage people and build positive relationships.
* Reliable, responsible, and committed.
* Previous experience in a charity, voluntary sector, or people-management role is desirable but not essential.
* Up to date DBS (desirable but not essential, we will apply for you)
Time Commitment:
Approx. 6–8 hours per week, flexible timing. Some extra hours may be needed around events.
Hybrid remote - must be available to meet in person S20/city centre
