ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY - £40,000-£55,000, dependent on experience
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Northwest London
My client designs and manufactures bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Northwest London on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
1. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar Design / Mechanical Engineering position
2. Strong 3D CAD skills - ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo or similar
3. Experience designing precision equipment, machinery, complex mechanical components or electronic products
4. Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering
5. Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
6. Experienced designing products from concept to production
7. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
8. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
9. Proficient using MS Office
10. Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
