Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the UK finance function, supporting our rapidly growing operations. You will play a pivotal role in financial planning, reporting, compliance, and project accounting. This role is essential to ensure robust financial control across complex EPC project lifecycles and to provide timely insights to guide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial management of UK operations, including monthly reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budget control.
• Manage project-based accounting for EPC contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with project managers to track budgets, variations, and financial KPIs at project and portfolio level.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax filings, and group accounting policies.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, external consultants, and HMRC on UK financial matters.
• Prepare financial forecasts and provide strategic financial input to country and group leadership.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
• Support tender pricing reviews and contract analysis during bid phases.
• Collaborate with global finance and procurement teams to align reporting and systems.
• Supervise finance team members or external accounting partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5–7 years of experience.
• Prior experience in project-based accounting, ideally in EPC, construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
• Strong understanding of UK tax, accounting, and reporting standards (FRS 102/IFRS).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project reporting tools.
• Analytical and hands-on approach, capable of interpreting project financials and driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
